CROSSOVER - Classical music lightly, popular music classicly
Bach, Gounod, Verdi, Weber, Illés, Fonográf, LGT, Rapülők, Depeche Mode, Queen - arranged for male choir
The Hungarian National Men's Choir is one of the first representatives of the so-called crossover movement in Hungary. They have given many highly successful concerts with pop bands, big bands, jazz formations and even folk ensembles. Crossover means the complex editing of popular and classical music styles in the interpretation of the Male Choir: the performance of popular music in a classical style, the performance of classical music with popular music arrangements, and the mixing of these: mixed, combined forms of Hungarian and foreign hits, operas and classical works, such as the Csinibaba built on the Matona mia cara. In a crossover concert, the versatile Honvéd Male Choir invites its audience on a full-fledged excursion into the world of “classical" and “popular" music. Opera hits, jazz evergreens, originals, covers, musicals, hits from Verdi to LGT.
